Painted eggs

Saturday the 31st March saw Oathlaw Tannadice host its Easter Fayre. It was a beautiful day and great fun was had at the fayre, with plenty of face-painting, egg painting and lots of sweeties to be won. Over £300 was raised for church funds and we are very appreciative of all who came along to support the event and to help out.

Check out the photo album.

Kirriemuir: St. Andrew’s and Oathlaw Tannadice churches are hosting a number of services over the Easter period, and we would be very pleased to welcome you to any or all of them.

On Thursday the 5th of April, there will be a Maundy Thursday service, at 7pm, in Tannadice church. This service begins with some hymns and readings, before everyone sits down to a simple supper which moves into an informal communion.

On Good Friday, the 6th of April, Kirriemuir: St. Andrew’s will be hosting a Tenebrae service. Tenebrae is Latin for ‘shadows’ or ‘darkness’ and this, more sombre, service takes place in a dimmed, candlelit church as we reflect on the momentous events of Jesus’ crucifixion and burial.

Then on Sunday the 8th, you are welcome to join us at either Oathlaw Tannadice at 9.45, or Kirriemuir: St. Andrew’s at 11.15, as we celebrate the risen Christ on Easter morning. Both of these service will be family-friendly as there will be no Sunday Schools, the leaders taking a well-deserved break.
