Volunteers from St. Andrew’s Parish Church, Strathmore Christian Fellowship, St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, Kirriemuir Free Baptist Church and Dundee Central Baptist Church got together with local Ministers to put on “Professor Potty’s Time Travellers’ Tales”

Professor Potty and Dippy Di

in a spectacular laboratory complete with its own Time Machine.

Professor Potty’s Lab

The Time Machine brought us visitors from the Bible and from other countries

One of our Visitors Talking to Dippy Di

who told us about what God had done for them and what we could do for others and for the world. Over the 5 days we saw 28 children and it was wonderful either to be part of their first Christian experience or to watch them grow.

We had another fun time with Messy Church in Kirriemuir: St. Andrew’s recently. This time it was Messy Easter, with our Bible story about Jesus’ death and resurrection. Our Easter crafts were great fun, and we have a fabulous Easter card to put in the church for our Easter services. Have a look at the pictures below to see what we got up to (click on one and you should get a slideshow you can click through).

We had another fun time with Messy Church in Kirriemuir: St. Andrew’s recently. This time it was Messy Weather, with our Bible story about Noah and the ark. We had great fun making weather-related crafts – snow globes, rainbow sun-catchers, marshmallow snowmen, and lots of other things too. Have a look at the pictures below to see what we got up to (click on one and you should get a slideshow you can click through). Continue reading »

Sep 212013

[singlepic id=192]We had our first venture into Messy Church on Saturday the 21st of September. Our hall was all set up with different activities on a harvest theme, with plenty of willing helpers on hand to make sure everyone had some messy fun. We were delighted then when people started to arrive and got in about the crafts and activities.

This was a modest start to our Messy Church adventure, but an encouraging one. And we’ve already started planning our next one, so look out for Messy Advent a little later in the year.

Don’t forget to check out some photos of the morning’s fun.

Kirriemuir Churches Together

Aug 202012

Kirriemuir Churches Together has been in existence for more than 12 years – you may have the copy of Luke’s Gospel which was delivered by its members to every house in Kirriemuir at the millenium.

Meetings are usually held on the last Wednesday of most months. Various venues around the town are used and the meetings take place at 7.30pm. Meetings provide an opportunity to pray and sing together, and to share a short time of worship and devotion. It is also an opportunity to share news of special service and events.

The members of KCT help organise community projects such as the pre-Christmas hot chocolate, a Songs of Praise evening, and the World Day of Prayer services.

Each meeting also provides a time of fellowship, with tea, coffee, biscuits (and sometimes a treat of home-made cake), and the opportunity to chat and share news with one another.

Everyone is most welcome.
